Hello Reader, I had promised to post about how to improve
Alexa regional ranks in my previous post about Alexa Global Ranks. Keeping my
promise, this article focuses on the same. Alexa is so far one of the most
important tool for every blogger and is very important in blogging. Alexa is
powered by Amazon and it ranks every website/blog indexed by it. Alexa provide
2 ranks- one is the Global rank and the other one is the Regional rank. Both
are important to every blogger. Alexa rank tells the popularity of your
blog/website by ranking it on the basis of number of visitors and page views it
gets.
Alexa may not rank your new website/blog because it takes
time to get indexed by Alexa and it is recommended that you manually claim your
blog or website on Alexa so that you can get indexed quicky and track your
site's performance. If you haven't claimed your site yet, do it now. Alexa
regional ranks tell the popularity of your site in your local region. Alexa
allows you to choose your region at the time of registration. When you start
getting good amount of traffic from the users in your region your regional rank
starts improving. I will mention a few handy tips that will help you easily
improve your alexa regional ranks.
Tips to improve Alexa regional Rank:
- Claim your site on Alexa and provide them with your country's name so that they could start tracking the regional rank.
- Register your site with a country level TLD. If you are an Indian blogger and you have .in domain, it will surely help you.
- Write a few posts on products, services and devices available in your region to drive regional traffic to your site.
- Join high rank Regional Blog submission directories. If you are an Indian blogger consider joining these Indian Blog submission directories.
- Start building quality back links from other blogs in your region. Check my article about how to get quality back links.
- Comment on blogs in your region and niche. But remember don't spam on them.
- Join forums in your blog niche and try to find some local region forums.
- Share your articles and posts on social media with your friends, fans and followers. It will help you getting regional traffic.
I hope following the above tips will help you to improve
your Alexa regional rank. But if you are a newbie blogger, you should not worry
about improving the regional ranks rather than you should aim to improve your Alexa Global rank first. The key to improve Alexa rank is Traffic. You
