phones and tablets. The Makers of Aakash Tablet “Datawind” has launched a new
Tablet Ubislate 7C+Edge in the Indian market. This device is reportedly available
for purchase on the online retail store SnapDeal. The specifications of this
tablet are similar to the one Datawind manufactured before with the name Aakash
2. This device runs on Android ICS and powered by a Single core processor. Datawind
is famous for its low cost tablets and this calling tablet comes in a real
budget as well.
The features of this Tablet are as follows:
- The device runs on Android version 4.0.3 Ice cream Sandwich.
- The tablet is power by Cortex A8 processor clocked at 1GHz.
- It has a 512MB RAM and 4GB internal memory.
- It comes with a large 7-inch capacitive display supporting resolutions of 800x480.
- The device supports micro SD card up to 32GB.
- It comes with a front facing VGA camera.
- With this device Datawind features its Ubisurfer browser to surf the internet.
- The device supports a micro USB and has calling ability as well.
- The tablet is available online at INR 5999.
- This device supports internet connectivity via WIFI and USB.
- This device is fueled by a 3200 mAh battery which gives 4 hours+ on WIFI usage.
There are many other tablets in the Indian market today that
has an upper hand in terms of features but still this new tablet from Datawind
seems to be promising. This tablet focuses on the school and college going
youth with its features and budget. Though Datawind failed to pace the manufacturing
of tablets at the time of Aakash but it has overcome that failure now and we
hope the company makes a good balance between demand and supply this time
around.
