Enable auto tweet using Feedburner




Hello Readers, in this post you will learn how to connect your twitter account with you feedburner account to enable auto-tweets. Social Networks like Facebook, Twitter and Google+ are playing very important role in blogging nowadays. They don't only give your content exposure but gift you good amount of traffic. Feedburner is the most famous feeds management service providers and is powered by Google. Feedburner gives an XML format summary of your latest posts but it also enables you to connect your twitter account to it so that every time you post a new article on your Blog it will tweet it on twitter on behalf of you.

I always recommend people to share their latest posts on their social networks with their friends, fans and followers so that they can boost their blog traffic. Twitter is one such social network that can give you plenty of visitors and feedburner can help you in doing so. Sometimes you don't have time to login to your social profiles to share your content and sometimes you just forget to do so. In that case it could prove to be a great help.
Now let us see how you can connect your Twitter account with Feedburner to enable auto-tweets:

  • Login in to your Feedburner's account. If you don't have one, just create it now.
  • Select your feed and go to your dashboard.
  • Now click on publicize tab and then on socialize from left side-bar, it will look something like this:

  • Now click on add Twitter account, it will take you to the twitter login page.
  • After login it will prompt you to give access to Google to use your twitter account, See the image below:

  • Grant the permissions and you are done.
  • Now it is the time to format your auto-tweets, Login to your Feedburners account.
  • Go to the socialize tab again and you will see the formatting options.

  • Choose the format that suits you best, I had chosen to tweet the Post title, Blog title and a shortened URL.
  • After the formatting it will show you the sample tweets and it would look like this:
  • The final step is over, In future if you want to deactivate this service you can simply Login to your feedburner account and deactivate this service from the socialize tab.
