window based smart phone by Nokia. Nokia has launched this windows smart phone
under its Lumia series and it is named Lumia 520. In the recent times we have
seen a flurry of Android based smart phone. Many cell phone manufacturers are
developing and launching Android based phones in low and high budget, but Nokia
has taken a brave step launching this windows based phone in a low budget. This
phone is priced at 10,499 INR. This phone up for pre-booking on the online
retail stores like Flipkart. With this phone Nokia has decided to take its
windows phones in a low budget category. With loads of features and pre loaded
apps this phone seems to be a good choice for all the users.
With this smart
phone Nokia wants to target the youth with its unique features, looks and
price. This smart phone could give a stiff competition to other Android smart
phone. Now let’s take a looks at its specifications.
Specifications of Nokia Lumia 520
- Talking about the built of this phone, it has dimensions of 119.9x64x9.9 mm and it weighs around 125gms.
- It comes with a 4 inches LCD capacitive display that supports multi touch and resolutions of 480 x 800 pixels.
- This phone is a Dual Core Qualcomm MSM8227 Snapdragon S4 processor which is clocked at 1GHz, so this phone is going to be fast in its class.
- Talking about the operating system Lumia 520 is operated on Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 platform which is the latest version for windows phone.
- This device comes with a 512MB RAM and 8GB of internal storage which is expandable to 64GB with the help of micro SD card.
- Talking about the camera, it has got a single auto focus 5 Megapixels camera at its rear, though it has no front facing camera for video calling.
- For internet connectivity this device supports WIFI, 3G.
- Other connectivity options are Bluetooth and micro USB.
- Lumia 520 is fueled by a 1,430 mAh battery which gives up to 360 hours stands by time.
Being a Lumia phone it comes with a lot of per-loaded apps like Nokia Drive,
Nokia City Lens, and Nokia Maps. It also provides a 7GB free Sky Drive storage.
This phone could oppose competition to the newly announced smart phone by Sony,
the Sony Xperia E Dual. Though both are operated by different OS but still this
phone has an upper hand in terms of specifications and performance.
